What's Glamping? Glamping, as defined by the oxford English dictionary is "a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping: the word glamping comes from blending glamorous and camping.

At Dorset Country Holidays & Events, we say Glamping is exactly what staycations should be all about, enjoying yourselves in unique and traditional camping methods be it a T@b, Yurt, Airstream, Tipi, VW Camper Tent, Shepherd Hut, or Belltent.

Dorset Country Holidays & Events offer a range of Glamping options all year round, mostly sited here on our Glamping Club 5 Tree rated holiday park in Dorset but also with the choice to holiday elsewhere with our funky tabs. Our Glampsite has full amenities, including a small shop and gym.

We are easy to reach with direct trains to Gillingham station on the Waterloo / Exeter St David line or straight off the A30 by car. We can even do a grocery shop for you and have the items waiting for you or arrange a late check-in (up to 9pm) so you can make the most of your stay if you wish.

Airstreams
The ultimate and very last word in glamping. Airstreams are luxury accommodation that provides the perfect synthesis of form and function. The ultimate in lavish style and decadence, we have a range of airstreams available for hire on our glamping site from 2 to 5 berth.

VW Camper Tent New for 2012
Yes it’s a tent that looks just like a VW camper! All the benefits and the kudos of a VW camper, but without the hassle of tax, mot's and petrol costs! Officially licensed by VW this is simply the coolest of our glamping accommodation. The VW Camper Tent is a full size replica and sleeps four adults in two separate sleeping pods. Yurt
Cool in summer & warm in winter our yurts are the perfect marriage of authenticity and luxury. Our authentic Mongolian yurts are available all year round. They come complete with a proper double bed, fitted carpet, furniture, gas stove, cooler / fridge, electric lights and sockets TV/DVD & chiminea for burning wood or toasting marsh mellows! With traditional leather and velvet embriodery, a yurt makes a wonderful memorable glamping holiday or celebratory short break, whilst allowing you the comforts of home. Bell tents
A real traditional luxury camping experience. Choose from our 'explorer' glamping bell tent hire or 'exotic' glamping bell tent holiday. Both glamping bell tents have electricity and creature comforts just choose whether you wish to relax on a double bed after a hard day exploring uncharted Dorset or recline in nomadic luxury and day beds. Handmade in Dorset the Shepherd Hut is perfect for a country glamping getaway for two. Complete with double bed, tbale and chairs, a 'stove' and even a TV/DVD you can snuggle up together at any time of year and enjoy the english countryside lifestyle. Get back to nature with a totally authentic tipi based on the Sioux design. A tipi will make any glamping holiday a memorable trip, but don't worry we can supply modern comforts if you wish. We have two type a 4m sleeping 2 man and a 5m sleeping 4

T@b
Handmade in Germany these funky little silver teardrop ooze chic charm and sophistication. With a large double bed there's plenty of space to snuggle up a bed time and the tardis like proportions allow you seat 5 adults comfortably round the table when in the seating position. Light and easy to tow you can even take this little glamping dream off to a location of your choice if you wish!
Festival Tent (Coming for the 2012 season)
Do you fancy re-living the fun parts of fetivals and getting outside with your frineds (but don't particularly want any of the bad bits and would prefer some peace and quiet?) Well our new Festival Tent is for you! A modern style tent with a central 'atrium' where you can stand up or sit and relax, off which are two sleeping pods and a wardrobe pod. Complete with electric sockets and lights of course as well as suitable festival furnishings and mattresses. Sleeps 2 - 4 depending on your preference. Ask us for availability.
